That label's web page wasn't working yesterday, but check out those two bands. They're pretty interesting.

Been listening. I like the following:

Electric Blanket: Astral Airplane, The Ceremony, Ambrosia & Anagram.
Mike J: The Underlying Yang

As you can see, I favor genuine ambient; limited precussion. These songs above are pretty stimulating. Ever hear of "Lost in Records?" That label has some free stuff from some pretty decent artists. Check out the Experimental/Ambient hybrid bands "Confusion Ends" and "This is For You."

Yeah, our label is a mix of ambient, downtempo, IDM, and experimental electronic music. Leaving Baja is has more ambient tracks to it if that's what you're looking for. Thanks for checking em out ...

A lot of it didn't really feel like ambient; especially the stuff with precussion. Astral Airplane was good.

Hey everyone,

My name is Mike Jedlicka, and I help to run Optic Echo Records. We're a new label that focuses on the mix of downtempo, ambient, experimental, and IDM electronic music. We originally were Dick and Jane Records, but the lawyers of Dick and Jane books sued us over the name, making us change label names which is a pain in the all. So, to start fresh, this year we are releasing free MP3 albums by our artists to help get the word out there. There's 3 new free MP3 albums that I'm sure you all would enjoy, and I'm here to tell you a little about them. You can find all the albums here on our music page ...
http://www.opticecho.com/music

Mike Jedlicka's "Leaving Baja"
http://www.opticecho.com/mike/discogLB
Leaving Baja is Mike's debut effort for the label, and the ambient soundscapes he presents reflect both his previous surroundings in Florida as well as his current home in Portland.

Electric Blanket's "Bye Gones"
http://www.opticecho.com/byeGones
This work compiles what Geoff views as his best work and features tracks dating back to the mid-90's as well as much more recent efforts. Most of the songs are solo compositions, but a few tracks feature friends not forgotten but no longer present in his daily life in Austin.

Justin Brown's "The Lost Chord"
http://www.opticecho.com/lostChord
This album is the result of numerous years of music experimentation and appreciation. He has gone from playing guitar and layering on a 4-track to computer synthesized compositions, and the technology has in our opinion been a benefit to his results.

Continue to check back for new albums and updates to our label, and I hope you enjoy the music. Best ...

Mike Jedlicka
